| State Land Board Awards |
|
The board presented the 2010 State Land Board Awards in two categories:
Wetland Project Award: Miami Wetlands Enhancement, a voluntary project that restored 44 acres of tidally influenced wetlands in Tillamook County.
Partnership Award: Multnomah County Sheriff's Office - River Patrol for their outstanding help in alleviating illegal activities on state-owned waterways in the county.
The awards recognize responsible, sustainable stewardship of Oregon's natural resources, as well as partnerships that advance the work of the board. More information.

The board approved the consent agenda: 1) Request for approval of the minutes of the February 8, 2011 State Land Board meeting; and 2) Request for approval to issue a conservation easement to the Port of Newport in Lincoln County.

| Action Agenda |
|
The board approved the following requests for authorization to sell:
-
Four scattered parcels in Baker, Union and Umatilla County through an open, competitive bid process.

Approximately 0.31 acres of historical filled land in Tillamook County to Patrick and Tracy Scribner.
-
Four parcels (24,090 square feet) of filled land in Multnomah County to the Port of Portland.

Mike Mueller from the Office of the State Treasurer presented the annual report on Common School Fund investments. The fund had a calendar year return of 13 percent, and is now valued at over $1.1 billion, up from a low of $678 million during the recent economic downturn.
Department Director Louise Solliday updated the board on legislation the department is tracking.
