State Land Board Meeting Summary - Sept. 27, 2011
Action Agenda

At a special meeting held at the Bend City Hall, the Land Board approved a request to initiate rulemaking to amend the rules governing the management and leasing of rangeland forage. The change would use the national price data adjusted by an assumed 90 percent differential, in place of the “average weighted calf price” that is no longer available through the USDA Oregon agriculture price data.

Informational Agenda

John Russell, asset manager with the Department of State Lands, presented an overview of the draft Central Oregon Area Management Plan (COAMP). After the presentation, five members of the public provided testimony on the plan. The board will consider adopting the plan, with any changes, at their Oct. 11, 2011 meeting in Salem.
