Land Board Awards
Three awards were presented honoring work during 2012:
- Stream Project Award: Whychus Creek Restoration at Camp Polk Meadow Preserve (Sisters)
- Wetland Project Award: Colewort Creek Wetland Restoration (Lewis and Clark National Historical Park near Astoria)
- Partnership Award: City of Portland Streamlining Team
Joint Executive Session
The Land Board and Board of Forestry met in executive session to consult with legal counsel concerning current litigation or litigation likely to be filed.
The Land Board approved the consent agenda.
The Land Board approved delegating management duties of newly acquired lands in the South Slough watershed to the South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve Management Commission.
The Land Board received the Annual Portfolio Review of Common School Fund investments by the Office of the State Treasurer; the annual report on the Estates Program; a status report on placer mining in Oregon; and a legislative update.
