Work Experience Internship Program

The Internship Program at the South Slough Estuarine Research Reserve is designed to help students gain job skills and work experience in the field of natural resources. We offer a broad range of internships for university and community college students, high school students, and adults wishing to gain additional job skills and work experience. Internships opportunities exist for those interested in the sciences, research, education, business, stewardship, forestry, writing, and customer service.

Science Outreach Specialist

As the Science Outreach Specialist​, lead the Estuary Explorers on an after school journey to discover the wealth of wildlife around their school campus.  Use hands-on science, observation and real data to motivate student achievement.

Service Dates: August 26, 2015 – July 31, 2016

Application Deadline: August 1st, 2015

Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis as qualified candidates are identified, and selection may be made prior to the application deadline. Early application is strongly encouraged.  Science Outreach Specialist job description.
