Procurement and Contract Assistant
Pam is the Procurement and Contract Assistant for the South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve. Pam’s responsibilities include procuring purchases through the bid process within the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) or manual bids to ensure the best value. Pam creates the documents which are used for the bid process as well as administering the contract once the bid has been awarded. Her other duties include tracking expenditures on grants, records management, inventory, safety committee member and general office assistant.

Background and Experience
Pam came to South Slough NERR with 22 years experience with the Oregon Department of Forestry as an Office Specialist 2 working in the Private Forests Division processing notifications of operations. She also assisted the office manager with inventory, purchasing and payroll. While working for ODF, Pam was assigned to an Incident Management Team for 14 years as a Food Unit Leader. As Food Unit Leader, it was Pam’s responsibility to order all grocery items to feed up to 2000 firefighters for up to two weeks. This position also required managing up to 50 individuals in the Food Unit kitchen.
