Change to Filing
ProceduresEffective September 1, 2013, there were two changes to claim filing procedures.  They are:

An initial claim for unemployment insurance is effective the week it is filed.  Changing the effective date of the initial claim to a prior week is no longer permitted.  In order to ensure your initial claim is established for the first week you want to claim, do not delay filing your application for benefits.

In addition, you have just 7 days from the day a week ends to complete the filing of a weekly claim for benefits.  Weeks begin Sunday and end on Saturday.  In order for a weekly claim certification to be submitted timely, you must submit it no later than the Saturday of the following week at 11:30 PM.

Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC)
EndsThe Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) program ended December 28, 2013.  The last week  EUC benefits could be paid was the week of December 22 through 28, 2013.  Payments for the week ending December 28, 2013 will be available on Reliacards or in bank accounts beginning January 2, 2014.
