Energy Star Manufactured Homes
Northwest home manufacturers, the region´s electric and gas utilities, and the Northwest states have teamed up to offer home buyers certified energy-efficient manufactured homes. Energy Star® labeled manufactured homes are built to save 30 percent on heating bills, compared to manufactured homes built to federal standards. These homes have:
• More insulation in ceilings, walls and floors
• Better windows and doors
• A specially designed -- and quiet -- ventilation system
• Better sealed heating ducts
• Reduced drafts
In most places in Oregon and in many jurisdictions throughout the Northwest, you can put Energy Star® labeled homes anywhere a site-built home can go because they meet or exceed site-built energy standards.
