ENERGY FACILITY SITING COUNCIL TO MEET JULY 30 IN BOARDMAN

Oregon’s Energy Facility Siting Council (EFSC) will meet Fri., July 30 in Boardman. The meeting  starts at 9:30 a.m. in the Well Springs Meeting Room at the Port of Morrow, 2 Marine Drive.
 
Action items on the agenda include:
 
A request for funding from the City of Union in Union County for review assistance related to the Antelope Ridge Project, a wind generation facility proposed near the city;
 
Review of the Draft Proposed Order for the Montague Wind Power Facility proposed in Gilliam County; and
 
Termination of the application process for the proposed Newberry Geothermal project in Deschutes County after the applicant determined additional geological studies were required.
 
In addition to project updates, two informational presentations are scheduled: one by the Climate Trust related to revising the Council’s carbon dioxide standard; and the other by the Oregon Department of Public Health providing an overview of the Office of Environmental Public Health and the Health Impact Assessment process.
