Informational Meeting on BETC Changes Slated for Sept. 2 in Salem

  Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) will hold an informational meeting for the public on recent changes to the Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) through temporary rulemaking  on Thursday, Sept. 2 in Salem.
Items of discussion will include the tiered process for renewable energy projects, phasing of manufacturing projects, electric vehicle manufacturing, renewable energy storage devices and other items. The meeting will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Local Government Center, 1201 Court St., NE in Salem. Written public comments will be taken at the meeting or can be submitted until September 16 by 5 p.m. to the rules coordinator. As part of permanent rulemaking, ODOE also will hold a formal rulemaking hearing on Sept. 14 to take public comments on the current temporary rules. No discussion will take place at the formal hearing. Written comments can be submitted as described above.
