RETC Public Meeting On Solar PV Systems Set For Oct. 12 In Salem

Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) will hold a third public meeting on Residential Energy Tax Credit (RETC) rulemaking for solar electric systems on Tues., October 12 in Salem.
ODOE is evaluating current RETC rules and taking public comments as part of the permanent rulemaking process.
The agenda includes a review of draft rule language for low-speed vehicles, the definition of net cost and a five-year requirement for installing multiple solar PV systems. Also on the agenda is a discussion on standards and efficiency requirements for wood stoves, pellet stoves and appliances; and eligibility criteria for third party financing of renewable energy technology. Future public meetings will be scheduled to discuss appliance standards; new technologies; eligibility criteria for heat pump, duct and solar certification; and the RETC application process including the pass-through option.
