Energy Siting Council to Meet This Week in Portland and The Dalles

Oregon and Washington siting councils to meet jointly on Thursday
SALEM—The Oregon Energy Facility Siting Council (EFSC) will meet two days this week and the public is invited to attend these meetings scheduled as follows:
Portland:  Thursday, October 28, at the Columbia Grid Offices, 8338 NE Alderwood Road Suite 140.  Meeting convenes at 1:30 p.m.
The Dalles:  October 29, at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, 5000 Discovery Drive.  Meeting convenes at 9:30 a.m.
On Thursday in Portland, the Oregon Energy Facility Siting Council and Washington State Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC) will meet jointly to hear presentations on regional transmission planning topics and related issues. Presentations include Columbia Grid and Northern Tier Transmission Group, Bonneville Power Administration and Iberdrola Renewables, which operates winds farm in eastern Oregon.
On Friday in The Dalles, agenda items include updates on Boardman to Hemmingway and Cascade Crossing transmission projects, proposed Carty Generating facility near Boardman, Klamath Falls BioEnergy and various wind projects.  The Council will also allow time for public comment.
