SALEM— The Advisory Committee of the Oregon Department of Energy’s state Energy Loan Program (SELP) will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18 in Beaverton to review three loan applications.
Lebanon Aquatic District has submitted a request for $478,493 to finance energy upgrades to their aquatic facility in Lebanon.
The second application comes from SIC Processing for $1.5 million to finance energy efficiency measures in their silicon carbide processing facility in Portland.
A third application for $18.2 million from Cascade Pacific Pulp would finance a retrofit to an existing mill for a combined heat and power project in Halsey.
A complete agenda is posted at www.oregon.gov/ENERGY/LOANS/selphm.shtml. The public meeting will be held at EasyStreet Online Services, 9705 SW Sunshine Court in Beaverton.  Bob Repine, Oregon Department of Energy Director, will make the final decision on the loan requests after reviewing the Committee’s recommendation.
SELP makes long-term, fixed-rate loans to governments, tribes, schools, non-profit organizations, businesses and individuals to finance Oregon projects that conserve energy or use renewable resources.
