SALEM— The Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) will hold an informational meeting on final rules for the Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) program on Tuesday, Nov. 16 in Salem.
As part of the permanent rulemaking process, ODOE has been evaluating the current BETC temporary rules and public comments received through Sept. 16, 2010.
Additional rule changes under consideration cover high performance homes, trucking standards, requirements for amending preliminary certifications, renewable energy projects and renewable energy storage devices.
ODOE has incorporated public comments in its evaluation process. Modifications will be included in the rules to be filed following the Nov. 16 meeting.
Temporary rules became effective May 27, 2010, implementing program caps, a tiered system and project criteria that reflect changes requested by the Oregon Legislature in House Bill 3680.
The meeting will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Oregon Department of Energy, 625 Marion St. NE in Salem.
A request for an interpreter for the hearing impaired or for other accommodations for persons with disabilities should be made by contacting Linda Ross at 503-378-6874, 1-800-221-8035 (toll-free in Oregon), TTY 1-800-735-2900, or fax 503-373-7806.
