SALEM—The Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) will hold a public meeting to share information and request comments on the proposed Antelope Ridge wind-powered electrical generating facility near the northeast Oregon town of Union. The meeting takes place from 6-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Union Elementary School (540 S. Main).
The department is currently asking for comments on the project application submitted by Horizon Wind Energy. The application is available for review at the Union and La Grande libraries, and comments should be submitted by 5 p.m. on February 14.
Following the end of the comment period, ODOE, which serves as staff to Oregon’s Energy Facility Siting Council (EFSC), will prepare a draft proposed order, containing recommended findings on the project’s compliance with EFSC siting standards. The draft proposed order will also be made available for public review.
