Energy Facility Siting Council to meet on Feb. 4

SALEM—The regular meeting of Oregon’s Energy Facility Siting Council (Siting Council) will meet on Friday, Feb. 4 in The Dalles. The public can attend this meeting to be held at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center (5000 Discovery Dr.). 
The Siting Council will convene at 9:30 a.m. and the following agenda items will be discussed:
  • Klondike III Wind Project: Wildlife monitoring report. Discussion on raptor fatalities and Council approval of additional mitigation. Update on the status of fatality monitoring in the region and future direction of wildlife monitoring efforts.
  • Summit Ridge Wind Farm: Review of the “Draft Proposed Order” currently out for public comment.
  • Carbon Dioxide Equivalent Offsets: Update on CO2 equivalent rulemaking.
  • What is Biomass? Matt Krumenauer, an ODOE senior policy analyst, will give a presentation during the lunch break.
