Renewable Tier Task Force to meet June 1

SALEM — The second meeting of the Renewable Tier Task Force will be held June 1 at the Oregon Department of Energy’s main office in Salem (625 Marion Street NE). The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Westerberg Room.
Oregon’s Energy Advisory Committee recently recommended that ODOE convene the task force to propose improvements to the competitive tier process for the Business Energy Tax Credit program. The recommendations of the task force will be considered in the department’s administration of the program during the next biennium, which begins July 1, 2011.

The task force is comprised of representatives of renewable energy technologies and utilities. It includes organizations such as the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association, Oregon Small Wind Energy Association, Oregon Wave Energy Trust, Oregon Municipal Electric Utilities, Energy Trust of Oregon and Community Renewable Energy Association.
