SALEM — The Oregon Department of Energy is hosting a webinar to seek input on improvements to the state’s administrative rules on the Biomass Producer or Collector Tax Credit program.
The public webinar will be at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26. Anyone can register for it at: http://www.oregon.gov/ENERGY/RENEW/Biomass/Biomass-Producer_Advisory_Committee.shtml.
ODOE will present specific ideas for improvements during the webinar and then ask for comments and suggestions from the public. The department will also present a schedule and process for permanent rulemaking that will begin in August.
The program provides tax credits to subsidize the production, collection, and transportation of biomass that is used for energy or biofuel production.
