Energy Facility Siting Council to meet on August 19

SALEM — A regular meeting of Oregon’s Energy Facility Siting Council will take place on Friday, August 19 in Maupin. The public is invited to attend this meeting, to be held at the Imperial River Company (304 Bakeoven Rd.). 
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the following agenda items will be discussed:
  • Port Westward Generating Project: The Council will decide on a Request for Site Certificate Amendment No. 8 to extend the deadline to May 8, 2013 for completing construction of Unit 2. (The public comment period for this item is closed.)
  • Summit Ridge Wind Farm: The Council will make a decision on the Application for Site Certificate. (The public comment period for this item is closed.)
