Public information meetings on RETC changes to be held on Oct. 28

SALEM — HB 3672 passed by the 2011 Oregon legislature made changes to the Residential Energy Tax Credit (RETC) program, which includes ending tax credits for energy-efficient appliances, alternative fuel vehicles and vehicle conversion equipment as of Jan. 1, 2012.
On Oct. 28, 2011 the public is invited to attend two information sessions on the following RETC changes:
Session 1: 9:30 a.m.
  1. General RETC changes to include:
    1. Third-party installations and RETC certification
    2. Ineligible RETC appliances as of Jan. 1, 2012
Session 2: 1:30 p.m.
  1. 2. RETC qualified wind systems
  2. 3. Independent certification of qualified wind systems
Both meetings will held at the ODOE office located at 625 Marion Street NE in Salem.
