SALEM — The Oregon Department of Energy filed new permanent rules today for the Residential Energy Tax Credit program. The rules go into effect on Jan. 1, 2013.
The intent of the rule amendments is to keep up with current technologies and efficiencies.
The amendments clarify cost terms, statutory incentive amounts, year to claim the tax credit and tax credit technician registration. The rules also update renewal requirements, renewal timelines and testing requirements for tax credit technicians. The amendments also make changes for solar photovoltaic, wind turbine, heat pump, HVAC and efficient woodstove projects.
