Regional Solutions Team
Introduction
The Regional Solutions Team (RST) coordinates state agency resources that support communities primed for economic development.

RST strives to strengthen Oregon’s economic preparedness and competitiveness by enhancing the ability of individual communities and regions to effectively compete in the ever-changing global economy.

RST also helps state agencies improve government accountability by focusing on customer service, partnership and results.

RST Participants
RST’s primary office is housed at the Governor’s Office and leads the state's RST activities. There are five regional coordinators located around the state in Pendleton, Madras, Central Point, Beaverton and Salem.

Ten state agencies designate a representative to serve on RST, which is divided into nine teams. Each team represents 1 of 5 regions that include: Northwest, Willamette Valley/Mid-Coast, Southwest, Central Corridor and Eastern. RST collaborates on problem-solving issues unique to the communities they serve.

These state agencies are:
  1. Oregon Business Development Department (OBDD)
  2. Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT)
  3. Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD)
  4. Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)
  5. Department of State Lands (DSL)
  6. Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA)
  7. Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS)
  8. Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE)
  9. Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD)
  10. Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS)

How does RST operate?
The RST statewide network of nine multi-agency teams provides the coordination infrastructure that makes the RST approach to economic and community development possible and successful.

The network includes a representative from the Oregon Department of Energy. Because of the magnitude of statewide energy projects, ODOE’s representative serves on all nine teams.

For more information about RST, please contact ODOE’s representative.
