Oregon's Bioenergy Resource Map

Oregon is rich in biomass resources. This GIS-based map tool provides information about available biomass feedstock and bioenergy conversion facilities. If you click on a county or one of the facility locations, you will be able to see the information on available biomass supply and general facility information.

The full version of this tool can be accessed here. Just click OK and scroll down to the Oregon Biomass Inventory Map. This tool has additional functionality that can be utilized to create presentations, export maps, change the basemap and turn on and off layers.

The information on forest biomass availability is from the Oregon Forest Biomass Supply Estimate by County study completed by Philip S. Cook and Jay O’Laughlin for the Western Governors Association. The study is available through the Woody Biomass Utilization Database. Information on bioenergy conversion facilities comes from Oregon Department of Energy.
