Director's Message Cheryl Myers, Director, Economic and Business Equity
Welcome to the Governor’s Office of Economic & Business Equity. Our website is focused on providing useful and relevant information to assist your business.

Under Governor Kitzhaber’s leadership, we continue our strong support of Oregon small businesses, mindful of his belief that Oregon’s “continued economic recovery is dependent on businesses large and small having ample and fair opportunities to be successful.” Our Office knows that small, independent businesses are creating jobs, spearheading entrepreneurialism, and helping provide a bridge to a more prosperous future for our entire state.

Stay tuned later this summer as the state certification office rolls out a 21st century technology solution: OMWESB online certification. This initiative will improve efficiencies and save time and money. Also, keep an eye out for our traveling team of partners for the 2013 Governor’s Marketplace Roadshow – coming to a location near you this summer/fall.
