(Salem, OR) — Governor Kitzhaber today acted on most remaining legislation from the 2013 Legislative Assembly. The Governor signed 66 pieces of legislation, issued two line-item vetoes, and released signing statements on five additional bills.The Governor has signed a total of 787 bills from the 2013 session.
"Oregon is on the right track," said Governor Kitzhaber "We made meaningful progress in the 2013 session, with important steps forward on increasing funding for public education, improving access to health care, reducing the costs of corrections, and investing in infrastructure that supports the jobs of the 21st century."
The Governor has not yet taken action on Senate Bill 215. He has until August 19 to act on the bill.
