Elisa Dozono named Chair of the Oregon Lottery Commission

(Salem, OR) — Governor Kitzhaber has named Elisa Dozono as the new Chair of the Oregon Lottery Commission. Ms. Dozono's nomination to the commission was confirmed by the Oregon Senate earlier this month. The five-member Lottery Commission oversees the governance of the Oregon Lottery.

“I have every confidence in Elisa to bring steady leadership to the Commission,” said Governor Kitzhaber. “Her experience with a wide variety of issues affecting the state will be a valuable addition to the Commission’s important work on behalf of Oregonians.”

Elisa Dozono is a partner at Miller Nash LLP, where her practice focuses on business litigation and government relations. She earned her law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School and her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University. Prior to joining Miller Nash, Ms. Dozono served as the corporate media manager for the Port of Portland, communications director for former Portland Mayor Vera Katz, and media relations director for Governor Kitzhaber's first transition.
Ms. Dozono is the past president of the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association and a member of numerous legal associations, including the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association, Oregon Women Lawyers, and the American Bar Association. She also sits on several local boards, including Albina Opportunities Corporation and Emerge Oregon, and the Metro Exposition Recreation Commission, for which she served as chair and an officer from 2009-12.
A fourth-generation Portlander, Ms. Dozono was selected in 2012 by the Portland Business Journal for its Orchid Award recognizing women of influence and in 2009 for its 40 Under 40 Award.
