Governor Kitzhaber Statement on the Death of Don Dole

It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Don Dole. Don was a dear friend and one of those who were instrumental in my decisions to first run for office in 1978; he swore me in for my first term as Governor. I value his wisdom and integrity and the tremendous contributions he made to Oregon and to the Roseburg community.

My thoughts are with his wife Lois, his children and the entire Dole family.
