Governor Kitzhaber Appoints Annette Liebe to Promote Job Creation and Economic Development in Central Oregon
(SALEM, Ore.) — As part of his continuing effort to revitalize Oregon's economy and create jobs throughout the state, Governor Kitzhaber today announced the appointment of Annette Liebe as Regional Solutions Coordinator for Central Oregon.
Ms. Liebe will coordinate the Central Oregon Regional Solutions Center and be responsible for seizing job creation opportunities and solving problems that stand in the way of economic development in Central Oregon. She has worked for the state for over 17 years and has experience collaborating with community leaders and local officials to solve problems in all parts of the state.
Ms. Liebe has a law degree from the University of Oregon and has worked for the Department of Environmental Quality where she managed the air quality planning and the surface water management sections. She has successfully led several permit streamlining initiatives, which gives her experience that will serve Central Oregon well.
Regional Solutions Centers will co-locate state agency staff to complete community-based projects that address regional and community priorities identified by local public, private, and civic leaders in each region. The Central Oregon Solutions Center will be located at a Cascades Campus office in Bend, Oregon.
"Annette Liebe's experience and problem solving skills will serve the Governor well in helping get Oregonians back to work," says Greg Wolf, the Governor's Intergovernmental and Regional Solutions Director.
Additional Regional Solution Centers will be located in the Willamette Valley, eastern and southern Oregon and the Oregon coast.
