Governor Kitzhaber appoints Lung Hung to the Malheur County Circuit Court 

(Salem, OR) — Governor Kitzhaber today announced the appointment of Lung S. Hung to fill the vacancy on the Malheur County Circuit Court that will be created by the retirement of Judge J. Burdette Pratt.
"Mr. Hung brings substantial trial experience and appreciation for all visitors to the courthouse," said Governor Kitzhaber. "His deep ties to the community and commitment to public service will be an asset to the citizens of Malheur County and citizens of the State of Oregon."
Mr. Hung received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Colorado School of Law. After graduating from law school, Mr. Hung joined the Malheur County District Attorney’s Office, where he has handled criminal and juvenile cases. Mr. Hung has spent countless hours investing in his community, including serving on the board of the Boys and Girls Club, as an organizer for the Bob McAlpine Memorial Turkey Trot, and as a member of the steering committees for both the Malheur County S.A.F.E. Court and the Malheur County Truancy Court. Prior to law school, Mr. Hung worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young.
