Governor Kitzhaber names Margi Hoffmann as Energy Policy Advisor
(Salem, OR) — Governor Kitzhaber today announced that Margi Hoffmann is joining the Governor’s office to serve as Energy Policy Advisor.
“Margi’s passion and expertise on energy policy will be a great asset to my office and the state,” said Governor Kitzhaber. “Pursuing an aggressive clean energy strategy will ensure that we compete for the jobs of the 21st century. She is a great addition to our team, and we’re lucky to have her.”
Prior to joining the Governor’s office, Ms. Hoffmann served as Senior Vice President and Director of Oregon Operations for Strategies 360, a strategic consulting firm. Hoffmann has worked extensively on clean energy regulation and incentive structures, removing market barriers to bring more energy efficiency and renewable energy online.
“Oregon is a leader in clean energy and in setting standards for our state, the region and the country. Through investment in energy conservation and homegrown renewable energy, we will put money back into the pockets of Oregonians and Oregon businesses,” said Ms. Hoffmann. “I am excited about Governor Kitzhaber’s commitment to our clean energy future and to working with the incredibly talented team he has put together.”
Ms. Hoffmann will start in the Governor’s office on April 2, 2012.
