(Portland, OR) — Governor Kitzhaber announced today that Mark McMullen will serve as State Economist for the Department of Administrative Services, Office of Economic Analysis.

“Mark’s specialized skills will prove invaluable to Oregon’s economic forecasting and planning efforts. I look forward to Mark’s contributions and expertise as we continue our work to streamline state government and improve our long-range budget planning,” said Governor Kitzhaber.

“Mark brings extensive knowledge of state and local government finance to this important position,” said Chief Operating Officer Michael Jordan.

Mr. McMullen has served the Office of Economic Analysis as interim state economist and senior economist. Prior to joining the Office of Economic Analysis, McMullen served as director of consulting at Moody’s Analytics and was a researcher with the Congressional Budget Office and the Center for International Comparisons.
