Portland, OR—The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is holding an upcoming advisory committee meeting as part of an asbestos-related rulemaking process. The rulemaking provides stakeholders and DEQ with an opportunity to evaluate and clarify regulations and standards for asbestos-related activities, where a potential for exposure to asbestos fibers exists. This process will engage a variety of stakeholders and public representatives to evaluate and provide policy recommendations, as necessary.

The meeting of the advisory committee is:

The public may attend, but is not entitled to participate in advisory committee meetings. Later in this rulemaking proceeding DEQ will invite public comments on and will hold a public hearing about the proposed rules.
