Salem, OR—The PERS UAL Task Force will convene for their fourth and final meeting this week. Governor Brown appointed the task force to review and propose options for making up to $5 billion in payments toward the PERS unfunded actuarial liability.

Each member of the task force has focused on an area of work to study and report back, and the members will discuss status updates and their findings at Friday's meeting. Oregonians are encouraged to submit public comment by 12:00 a.m., Friday, as the members will receive a final report on public input Friday afternoon.

The PERS UAL Task Force will hold its final meeting Friday, Oct 13, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Portland State University Boardroom, 1800 SW 6th Ave., Suite 515, Portland, OR. The meeting is open to the public.

Members of the public can learn more on the task force's website and are encouraged to submit comment to task force members by emailing PERSUAL.TASKFORCE@oregon.gov. This will be the final call for public comments reported to task force members.
