Salem, OR—Governor Kate Brown today released the following statement regarding the retirement of the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) President, Joseph E. Robertson Jr., M.D., M.B.A.

"I thank President Robertson for his career of service to Oregon," Governor Brown said. "President Robertson was committed to make sure that the important work being done at OHSU benefitted the entire state. Thanks to his leadership, I've seen doctors based in Portland practicing hundreds of miles away in our rural communities and expanding access to care to those who need it most. President Robertson understands that everyone deserves the health care they need and has embodied the collaborative spirit that makes Oregon such a great place to live.”
