Salem, OR—Governor Kate Brown will visit South Eugene High School in Lane County on Wednesday to meet with students participating in Career Technical Education (CTE) classes and to hold a listening session with students, teachers and invited businesses about the importance of CTE and how the state can best support these programs.

"It is my priority to help ensure that every student graduates from high school with a plan for their future. Whether that's college or a career right out of school," said Governor Brown. "In Lane County, school districts and the business community are working together in innovative ways to give students the tools they need to build meaningful careers while helping businesses in greater Eugene fill critical jobs in fast-growing industries."

Members of the media are welcome to attend the listening session and school visit tour. Those who plan to attend or need additional information should contact Natalie King at Natalie.King@oregon.gov or 503-559-6644.
