Portland, OR—The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has fined Vigor Industrial LLC $12,128 for failing to do all required monitoring for pollutants in stormwater at its north Portland facility.

Vigor Industrial builds and repairs ships.

DEQ requires industrial facilities to regularly monitor stormwater for pollutants to ensure they are complying with pollution levels allowed in their permits.

Industrial pollutants in stormwater can contaminate streams, rivers and other waterways and threaten the health of Oregon's people and environment.
