Office of Accountability, Research and Information Services

About Us

The Office of Accountability, Research and Information Services combines the efforts of three offices into one to provide data solutions, analysis, and reports. These sections focus on the following:

  • Accountability: Supports ODE roles of accountability, leadership and school improvement. This is represented by data collections from, and reporting on, Schools, Districts and Educational Service Districts (ESDs).
  • Research: Provides data, research, and policy analysis to ODE, the Governor’s Office, the Legislature, and other state agencies. It also provides data and analytical support to other researchers and provides information to school districts, ESDs, the public, and media groups.
  • Information Services: Serves approximately 550,000 students, 27,000 teachers, 1200 schools and 197 school districts through a variety of applications and data collections. In addition to the aforementioned external stakeholders, Information Services provides desktop and network support services to nearly 500 staff located at the Public Service Building and Oregon School for the Deaf.
