The Board is scheduled to meet virtually on Thursday, December 14, 2023, as a special meeting outside of the calendared Board events for 2023. The meeting will be live streamed for public viewing.

The Board will have limited time to hear and discuss the information delivered by the Department, therefore no testimony will be allowed. Written general comments are always welcome and can be submitted to boardofforestry@odf.oregon.gov or mailed to the Board's Support Office at 2600 State St., Salem, OR 97310.

The Board is scheduled to meet in Medford on Wednesday, October 18, and Thursday, October 19 for a two-day retreat. This will be an informal hybrid event for members of the Board and agency leadership to meet with the nine federally recognized Tribes of Oregon, review the Forestry Program for Oregon draft, and discuss the draft Board Policies Manual. There will not be an opportunity for the public to provide comments or testimony, but the retreat will be live-streamed for viewing and available for in-person observation. Parking permits will be available for those attending in person at the front desk of the Jackson County Health & Human Service Building. On the evening of October 18, the Department will host an in-person community social with the Board – open to the public and all ages. Remote access will not be available.

The Board is scheduled to meet in person on Wednesday, September 6, and Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Salem, Oregon. Each day of the meeting will be live-streamed and offer an opportunity for live testimony. The Board will have limited time scheduled for live testimony, but written testimony is also welcomed. On the evening of September 6, the Board will host an evening social, open to the public and held on location with no virtual access.

  • Live testimony is available for all items listed on and off the agenda, with the exception of consent agenda and work session asterisked (*) items. 
  • Written testimony can be submitted for information or decision items and can be sent by mail or email at boardofforestry@odf.oregon.gov.
  • Written testimony sent 72 hours before the meeting will give the Board time to review and consider the information. Any testimony submitted after that window of time will be sent to the Board after the meeting but entered into the record and posted online. The Board will be accepting written testimony on this agenda's topics until September 20.

Field tour itinerary

Retreat handouts

The Board is scheduled to meet in Wallowa County on Wednesday, April 26, and Thursday, April 27. A field tour on April 26 is organized to be held on location with no virtual access. The tour itinerary will be released before the event. Members of the public wishing to join the tour are asked to bring their lunch and RSVP to boardofforestry@odf.oregon.gov by 5 p.m. Friday, April 21 to secure a seat with ODF.

On the evening of April 26, the Department will host an in-person community spotlight and town social with the Board – open to the public and all ages. Remote access will not be available.

The April 27 retreat will be an informal hybrid event for members of the Board and agency leadership to fulfill retreat objectives, review the Forestry Program for Oregon draft, and discuss next steps for plan development. There will not be an opportunity for the public to provide comments or testimony, but the retreat will be live streamed for viewing and available for in-person attendance by the public. Field tour itinerary

The Board is scheduled to meet in person on Wednesday, March 8, and Thursday, March 9, 2023, in Corvallis, Oregon. The March 8 meeting will be live-streamed and offer an opportunity for live testimony. The Board will have limited time scheduled for live testimony, but written testimony is always welcome. The field tour on March 9 is organized to be held on location with no virtual access. The tour itinerary will be released before the event, and recordings will likely be available post-tour.
