Fire Information

The West Oregon District ended Fire Season at 12:00 on 10/14/14.  Regulated Use closures and restrictions have terminated for the season as well.






Effective 8:00 a.m., PDT, October 14, 2014
WHEREAS, the menace to life and property heretofore existing due to weather conditions and an excessive amount of flammable debris on certain areas in the State of Oregon have been sufficiently reduced to remove said menace to life and property in certain areas heretofore to regulated use.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, by virtue of the authority vested in me under the provisions of ORS 477.535 to 477.550, do hereby terminate Regulated Closure #01 that was effective on, July 11, 2014, on all lands in the West Oregon Forest Protection District.
The State Forester or an authorized representative may, in writing, approve a modification or waiver of these requirements.
Maps of the subject area may be viewed at the State Forester's Office, in Salem, Oregon, and at principal offices of the Forest Protection District.
