Oregon Congressionally Withdrawn Forestlands 1960 through 2010
This presentation shows the U.S. Congressionally withdrawn forestlands (designated Wilderness Areas, National Park, National Monuments, National Recreation Areas and National Wildlife Refuges) in the state of Oregon.  Starting with Crater Lake National Park in 1902, continuing with the Wilderness Act of 1964, the additions to the Mount Hood Wilderness and the creation of the new Clackamas and Roaring River Wilderness Areas in 2009, there has been a steady increase in U.S. Congressionally withdrawn forestlands in Oregon.
Data was supplied to the Oregon Department of Forestry by the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service; U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management; and the U.S. Department of the Interior, Park Service.
