I-84 and I-5 Interchange Resurfacing
This project will extend the service life of the four bridges that connect I-84 and I-5 through repairs and resurfacing.
ODOT and Washington County (in a partnership project) are in construction of the next phase of ODOT RealTime, a system that provides real-time traffic information on roads to help travelers get where they're going more safely and efficiently. This project will implement ODOT RealTime between Washington County, central Portland and the Portland Airport.
Travelers will see night work on Interstate 84 in Portland in 2018 to install, replace, repair and upgrade existing interstate signs and sign structures to meet current federal standards.
Graham Road Bridge Replacement
ODOT is working on a project to replace the bridges on I-84 over Graham Road/SW 257th in Troutdale and widen the road under the bridges.
We are designing a project to increase traveler safety on I-84, just east of Cascade Locks, at a historic landslide called "Farley Slide." This project will address the roadway problems on a 300 foot section of I-84 caused by this active landslide.
This segment of the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail will connect Gorton Creek Trailhead at Wyeth (I-84 near milepost 51) to Lindsey Creek.
We are working on a project to replace the bridge deck on eastbound I-84 over Hood River, as well as repairing the westbound direction bridge. The bridge was built in 1953 and has needed several repairs over the years to keep it operating and ensure that travelers can reach their destinations.
