Updated Amtrak Cascades

We updated the weekend/holiday southbound train from Portland: it now leaves at 9:35 a.m. instead of 8:30 a.m., providing a little more conven​ience for our leisure travelers!​ See the current schedule plus promotions, including discounts to University of Oregon home basketball games.

Amtrak Cascades Station Stop Policy​

The Oregon Department of Transportation is working with the Washington State Department of Transportation to finalize a Station Stop Policy for the Amtrak Cascades intercity passenger rail service. A Station Stop Policy Advisory Committee has been convened and will meet to assist the agencies in developing the final policy. More information can be found on WSDOT's website

Salem Railroad Baggage Depot 

The Oregon Department of Transportation is pleased to partner with several organizations, agencies and individuals to restore the historic Baggage Depot at the Salem Railroad Station.

Oregon Passenger Rail EIS project

The Oregon Department of Transportation is conducting the Oregon Passenger Rail Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) Project as the next step in improving passenger rail service in the Oregon segment of the federally designated Pacific Northwest Rail Corridor between Eugene and Portland.
