Program Introduction
Highway 86
Roadway Safety:  Engineering training to solve traffic problems in high-crash locations, coordination to reduce crashes in 14-state highway safety cooridors.  Liason with other ODOT Divisions and outside agencies and organizations to address roadway-related safety issues.
 
Goals
  • Contribute to moving the Oregon traffic fatality rate to 0.99 by calendar year 2010.
  • Reverse the rural secondary fatality rate trend downward by 2005 as reported in the ODOT Crash Rate Tables.
