Public Employers Health Purchasing Committee



 

Committee includes individuals who purchase health care for the Public Employees Benefit Board (PEBB), Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB), Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), a city government, a county government, a special district or any private, nonprofit organization that receives the majority of its funding from the state and requests to participate.

 


 

Duties:

  • Identify and make specific recommendations to achieve uniformity across all public health benefit plan designs
  • Continuous review/reporting to OHPB on progress
  • Develop action plan for ongoing collaboration to implement benefit design
  • Identify uniform provisions for state and local public contracts for health benefit plans (in collaboration with OHPB) including:
    • Steps to implement joint contract provisions
    • A schedule for implementation of contract changes
    • A review process to protect against unintended cost shifts

Deadlines:

  • Oct.1, 2010: Proposals and plans completed
  • Dec. 31, 2010: Proposals and plans due to OHPB for possible referral to Legislature
