Public Employers Health Purchasing Committee
Committee includes individuals who purchase health care for the Public Employees Benefit Board (PEBB), Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB), Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), a city government, a county government, a special district or any private, nonprofit organization that receives the majority of its funding from the state and requests to participate.
Duties:

Identify and make specific recommendations to achieve uniformity across all public health benefit plan designs

Continuous review/reporting to OHPB on progress

Develop action plan for ongoing collaboration to implement benefit design

Identify uniform provisions for state and local public contracts for health benefit plans (in collaboration with OHPB) including:

Steps to implement joint contract provisions

A schedule for implementation of contract changes

A review process to protect against unintended cost shifts
Deadlines:

Oct.1, 2010: Proposals and plans completed

Dec. 31, 2010: Proposals and plans due to OHPB for possible referral to Legislature
