The Office for Oregon Health Policy and Research would like to remind all mandatory reporters that the second data submission deadline for the APAC Reporting Program is on November 30, 2011. At that time, mandatory reporters will be required to submit all paid claims data between October 1, 2010 and September 30, 2011.
 
APAC Update: October 31, 2011
 
Updated Data File Layout Version 2011.1.1 is now available. Please see the Informational Documents section. This version providers additional clarification on the data layout and file submission procedures and includes all previously announced corrections.

 
APAC Update: October 4, 2011
 
Data File Layout Version 2011.1.1 is now available. Please see the Informational Documents section. This version corrects some minor errata in the previous version and includes all previously announced corrections. Fill-able versions of PDF forms APC-1, APAC-2, and APAC-3 are also now available.

 
APAC Update: September 20, 2011
 
The second submission deadline has been extended to November 30, 2011. The change is reflected in the revised Schedule A:  Healthcare Claims Data File Submissions located in the Informational Documents section of APAC webpage.

 
APAC Update: September 13, 2011
 
We have made a slight revision to the data submission protocol to improve security. Details are available in the revised submission instructions; if you need a copy please contact Milliman’s APAC Support (apac_support@Milliman.com). Effective immediately, Milliman has been instructed to reject any new data submissions that do not fully comply.

 
 
APAC Update: August 16, 2011
 
We have corrected an error in the Pharmacy Claims layout. Field PC008 now has maximum length 30, which is consistent with the Medical Claims layout.

 
APAC Update: August 4, 2011
 
We have corrected an error in the Medical Claims layout, adding codes to lookup table MC037 (place of service codes) that were inadvertently omitted. We have also updated the data file layout with this correction.

 
APAC Update: August 1, 2011
 
We have corrected an error in the Medical Eligibility layout, increasing the length of field OHLC4 from 2 to 3. We have also updated the data file layout with this correction.

 
APAC Update: July 28, 2011
 
We had originally intended to supply a list of ICD-9, CPT, and revenue codes that should be excluded from APAC data submissions. We now plan to have our data vendor filter out these claims from incoming submissions. This will prevent submissions from being rejected for inadvertently including a record that should have been excluded.

 
APAC Update: July 13, 2011
 
The July 14, 2011 meeting of the APAC Public Use Advisory Group has been cancelled. Additional meetings of the APAC Public Use Advisory Group will be scheduled as needed.

APAC Update: July 8, 2011
 
Mandatory reporters for calendar year 2012 were sent letters in late June. Companies who received a letter are mandatory reporters beginning with the first submission in 2012. This will include claims from calendar year 2011. New mandatory reporters for calendar year 2012 are not required to submit claims data during 2011, but should be prepared to submit data on January 31, 2012. We regret that this was not sufficiently clear in the letters.

APAC Update: April 8, 2011
 
APAC will be convening a Public Use Advisory Group (PUAG) to advise the program on creation and publication of public use data sets and limited data sets. The first meeting is scheduled for April 14, 2011 in Salem. Please refer to the meeting notice for additional information.
 
 
APAC Update: March 24, 2011
 
The final data files layouts were published today and are available here on the APAC web site. Thank you to all members of the Technical Advisory Group (too many to list) for assisting with this extremely important work. Updates to Schedule A have also been posted. In addition, the Program is satisfied that the data vendor, Milliman, Inc., is ready to receive test files from mandatory reporters.
 
Today marks a key milestone: the inception of reporting. Mandatory reporters must be allowed a minimum of 120 days from the inception of reporting (March 24, 2011) before data submissions are due. Therefore, data submissions shall not be due prior to July 22, 2011. Please refer to Schedule A for specific information about submission due dates. Addition information regarding data submissions is included in the memorandum attached in front of the data file layouts.
