The Healthy KidsConnect (HKC) program is a private market insurance program for Oregon children under the age of 19, whose families make more than 200% but less than 301% of the federal poverty level. These children are eligible for an insurance subsidy for specific HKC insurance plans. The member is responsible for a portion of the insurance, and the HKC program pays for the bulk of the premiums.
Effective August 24, 2013, new eligible enrollees at 200% but less than 301% of the federal poverty level will be enrolled in the Oregon Health Plan (OHP). The Healthy KidsConnect part of the Healthy Kids Program will end December 31, 2013. The OHP part of Healthy Kids will continue.
