About Us

The Oregon Diabetes Program works with partners to create policies and environments where people have easy access to healthy foods and regular physical activity, which can help prevent or delay diabetes.

We work to ensure that people with diabetes are able to manage their condition at home and with their health care providers to prevent complications and improve quality of life.

We have received funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since 1994. We work in collaboration with partners in the public and private sectors to implement a statewide, multilevel public health approach to reduce the burden of diabetes.

The Oregon Diabetes Program is part of the Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention Section in the Center for Prevention and Health Promotion. Search the Public Health Program Directory to see all programs in the Oregon Public Health Division.
