About Us

There are many chemicals present in our environment. Some of them are used in products we all purchase, including children's products. Through the Toxic-Free Kids program, OHA is working to identify and communicate the potential for chemical exposures from these products which could be harmful to human health, particularly to vulnerable or susceptible populations, such as children and pregnant women.

The Toxic-Free Kids Act (Senate Bill 478, 2015 session) requires manufacturers of children's products sold in Oregon to report if their product contains a high priority chemical of concern for children’s health when used in children’s products.
