HLO remains open during eclipse

Thursday, July 27, 2017

The total solar eclipse on August 21st will bring an estimated 1 million visitors to Oregon, presenting our communities with both opportunities and challenges. While state government will remain open for business, the large number of visitors will undoubtedly have an impact on our operations, most notably, congested roads.

Although the Health Licensing Office (HLO) will be open on August 21st, during our normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., we will be working with limited staff which may cause a brief delay in the services we provide.

We do not anticipate a change in our Office's ability to administer examinations or issue licenses on this day, but if candidates are planning on traveling to our location they should plan accordingly and anticipate traffic congestion and delays.

For up to date information, please check our website: http://www.oregon.gov/OHA/HLO, or follow our two social media pages:
As a reminder, our Office has relocated and our new address is: 1430 Tandem Ave. NE, Suite 180, Salem, OR 97301-2192
