Oregon State Hospital will host a job fair for its new Junction City campus on Thursday, Aug. 15, from noon to 8 p.m., at the Junction City High School cafeteria located at 1135 West Sixth St.
Scheduled to open in the spring of 2015, the Junction City campus will be home to a 174-bed psychiatric facility that employs more than 500 staff once fully operational. Hiring for the facility will begin in 2013 and continue through 2015. Those hired now will train and work at the Salem campus until the Junction City campus is completed and ready for occupancy in the spring of 2015.
Oregon State Hospital is currently recruiting for the following positions: registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants (mental health therapy technicians), psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, mental health specialists, food services employees, security, office support, custodians, grounds and maintenance, rehabilitation staff and more.
In addition, WorkSource Oregon will host a combined workshop during the job fair. “First Impressions” and “Preparing for the Interview” will be offered from 2 to 3:30 p.m., and again from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Representatives from local educational institutions and transportation providers also will be available to answer questions.
