Provider EHR Certification

In order to qualify for a Medicaid EHR incentive payment for your first year of participation, your clinic must adopt, implement or upgrade to a certified EHR system. In subsequent years of participation, you must use the certified EHR system in a meaningful way. A complete up-to-date list of certified EHR systems can be found on the ONC Certified HIT Product List (CHPL).

Complete EHRs and EHR modules are required to be certified through an Authorized Testing and Certified Body (ATCB) designated by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC). The certified EHRs on the list are identified with the name of the certifying ATCB, the ONC certification number, vendor information, product information, and product version number.
